Nordic Racers Coaching Team

[Jamie Stirling photo] Jamie Stirling

(NCCP 3, CANSI 3, CCC Official 2)
Club Head Coach

"I thought I was a strong skier, but after a couple of classes realized I had been doing the advanced shuffle. By the end of the Nordic Racers' Learn to Loppet program, my speed, stamina and -- most importantly -- style were transformed. The coach's skiing and teaching skills were superb. I did the Canadian Ski Marathon last winter and averaged 10 km/h over the 160 km. Without L2L, I would still be on the trail now." - Alex

(NCCP 3, CANSI 3, CCC Official 3)
Junior Nordic Team Head Coach

"I liked Tony's fun and clear coaching style so much, I asked him to be my full-time coach. I started as a complete beginner, and Tony coached my way to the BC Winter Games then onto the BC Development Squad. He taught me what it means to have fun in sport but also take it seriously. Tony has this way of teaching proper ski technique that makes it simple to grasp." - Zoe

Mark Simpson

(CANSI 4, CSIA 2, CANSI Telemark 3)

"I had a great Advanced Skating session last February. It left me excited for more so now I'm anxiously looking forward to next season and plan to sign up for all the clinics I can." - Trish

(CANSI 3)
High Performance Coach, Masters Race Team

“Last year I enrolled in the Advanced Classic class. Again, it was surprising how skillful Jeff was and how he was able to give each of us something to focus on to improve our skiing. Every time I ski, I know I benefit from what Mark and Jeff taught me and I am looking forward to working with them again this winter.” – John

(NCCP 3 – cycling; BCRPA – Personal Trainer, Group Training, Weight Training, Third Age and Spinning; CANSI 1)

“TK is a first rate personal trainer! Our dryland training fitness classes were well organized, fun, extremely challenging...painful, yes but most importantly beneficial. Everyone experienced an improvement in strength and cardio and we learned the right way to train and how to avoid injury. I wouldn’t start a ski season without TK’s fitness class.” – Brian
